getting there
Pack your bags - We're going to Belize!
As the largest and only true city on Ambergris Caye, San Pedro is the main place to meet, eat, shop and enjoy the 2nd largest Barrier Reef in the world. Its lively downtown area is home to barefoot strollers, adventurous fisherman and clusters of family owned businesses, openly inviting newcomers to experience the real essence of Belize.
This will be an incredible trip and special time to share with you all. We are absolutely thrilled and so thankful to have these memories with so many of the people we love. While we want to spend every moment with you, we also understand that everyone has their own schedules and responsibilities, so these details are to help you plan your trip. You will need to know a few key things about getting to Belize, so take a moment and review the notes below.

A few tips from our trip to yours
What should I do immediately?
Get your passport!
Belize is now an independent country although prior to 1981 it was part of the UK. Regardless, it is not in the US, so you will need an international passport. If you already have yours, be sure to check the date of expiration. Verify it has more than 3 months until the expiration date or they may not accept it. (If you want to know how we learned this the hard way, ask us about our trip to London and (almost not) Amsterdam.)

When do I get there?
We are recommending everyone to get there on either February 12th or 13th and staying until the 17th.
-
Important Dates: Rehearsal Dinner (wedding party) 2/13, Welcome Party 2/14, wedding day 2/15, goodbye party 2/16.
-
Friday, February 14th is Valentine's day. We have day plans, but will leave dinner plans open to share with your boo.
-
Monday, February 17th is Presidents day. We chose this weekend hoping to get an extra day with you :)

How do I get there?
Fly into BZE airport
You will be landing at the Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport near Belize City. From there you will need to either fly or take a water taxi to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, which is where everything will be happening!

There are two options to get to Ambergris Caye from BZE:

-
“Puddle Jumper” (Small Plane) (15 min)
-
There are two airlines that get you around Belize
-
Cost is $120 -140 round-trip
-
-
Water Taxi (90 min)
-
Cost around $38 round-trip
-
Where do I stay?
Mahogany Bay Belize
There are tons of amazing hotels on the island of Ambergris Caye but everything will be taking place at the Mahogany Bay. We had a chance to stay at a few hotels on the island and we highly recommend MB.
